The Altamonte Springs Police Department offers the ability to hire officers for off-duty details to maintain order, facilitate traffic flow or provide security at events located within the Altamonte Springs city limits.
To hire an officer for an off-duty service, fill out the Request for Off-Duty Detail Form and submit to the Off-Duty Coordinator five (5) working days prior to your event. Forms can be emailed to the address below or dropped off in person at the COPS Center. Requests received after the five (5) day advance notice are made with the understanding that there may not be sufficient time for approval by the Detail Administrator or the Chief of Police.
The off-duty program is completely voluntary. There is no guarantee your job request will be filled. It is the responsibility of the vendor to contact the Off-Duty Coordinator during normal business hours prior to the projected start time to confirm your request has been filled.
Detail Service Billing Rates
Normal Detail Rate | $40 per hour
Supervisor Detail Rate | $45 per hour
City Holiday Detail Rate | $55 per hour
City Holiday Supervisor Rate | $60 per hour
Traffic Control Detail (Use of Police Vehicle) | $43 per hour
